The Highlands

The Highlands.

While only a 20-minute drive to downtown Seattle, The Highlands feels a world away.  Once you pass through the 24 hour guarded gate, you’ll enjoy a quintessential Pacific Northwest experience.  Nothing quite compares to meandering through the old growth trees, with Puget Sound and the Olympics as a backdrop.  This neighborhood is like no other; designed by the Olmsted Brothers in 1907, this community of 107 homes is spread across 400 splendid acres.  A wonderful mix of privacy and community, this wooded enclave includes walking trails, tennis courts, community swimming pool, private beach access, preschool, chapel and much more.

Welcome home to The Highlands.

The Commons:

The Highlands is a private residential community that is governed by an elected Board of Trustees. The Board is supported by an office and committees that manage both ongoing projects and day-to-day operations. The Board meets with members annually to review and approve budgets for The Highlands.

A full-time General Manager oversees a team of site administrators, landscapers and security officers to provide 24/7 support and service to members of The Highlands.

Don't Miss:

Classical music concerts at The Florence Henry Memorial Chapel. Open to the public.

The Highlands Pre-School, a school for 2.5 to 5-year-olds with options for three different classes: two days per week, three days per week or five days per week.

Membership benefits. See a full list on the neighborhood website.

Golf at the adjacent and private Seattle Golf Club, redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1996 and established in 1900. While membership to the Seattle Golf Club is not included in membership to The Highlands, there are several owners in The Highlands that are members of the Seattle Golf Club, and The Highlands does host events there.
